Amy Winehouse has fled her north London home as it holds too many painful memories.
The troubled singer - who was seen sobbing in the street in just a bra and jeans on the early hours of Sunday (02.12.07) - has decided she can no longer live in her Camden property and wants to start a new life in London's East End.
A source close to Amy - who is currently staying with a friend in Bow, east London - told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "She has preferred being in the East End since her husband Blake was arrested.
"The Camden house holds a lot of bad memories - it was the scene of her drug overdose and is full of reminders of Blake.
"She has hardly been back there since the overdose. Now, with Blake in prison, she can hardly bring herself to walk through the door. So she's bought a place in east London and plans to sell the Camden pad."
Meanwhile, Pete Doherty confirmed he has recorded a duet with the 'Rehab' singer.
Pete - who is currently battling his own drug addiction - said: "Who would I most like to collaborate with? Amy Winehouse. We were working on something last night actually. It's called 'You Hurt The Ones You Love'."
On Sunday, the Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty dedicated his song 'Albion' to her during his band's performance in Scotland.
Pete said: "She is a really nice girl and this song is for her. Keep your chin up, Amy."
Meanwhile, Blake's mother Georgette said: "I've had to help Amy see him in prison, because she had no idea that all visits are pre-booked and she can't just turn up and see him. Amy has hardly stopped crying, but what has she actually done to help Blake? Nothing.
"Amy is still using drugs while Blake is in prison. She is using more cocaine and heroin now than ever. She can't stop crying and keeps saying all she wants is peace."
Hair salon owner Georgette also denied Amy's father Mitch's claims that she doesn't care about Amy's wellbeing.
She added to Britain's Closer magazine: "Amy is having real trouble getting her head together about anything right now. It's desperately sad and we're all so worried about her mental and emotional well-being. She needs professional help."
Last week, Amy cancelled her British tour after saying she couldn't cope while Blake is in prison awaiting trial for assault and perverting the course of justice. |
