Kate Winslett has given away one of Hollywood's best-kept red carpet secrets: even famous actresses choose black when they're having an off-day.

She reassured fans by explaining that she has the same issues as any normal woman, and prefers dark-coloured gowns for big appearances if she's on her period, or having a 'fat day'.
