The court of appeals in the state of Michigan has thrown out a lawsuit against rapper Eminem. In a decision handed down on Friday, the three-judge panel unanimously decided that arguments from Deangelo Bailey, a former classmate of Eminem's, would not be allowed in court. According to Bailey, the rapper muddied his name, by singing about a school fight they in his song Brain Damage. The jury stated that the song, about being beaten up by Bailey in the school toilets, was not meant to be taken literally. Bailey, who has admitted to bullying the star during their schooldays, filed the lawsuit in 2001 claiming invasion of privacy. |
