Pop diva turned filmmaker Madonna, has been snubbed by organisers of the Cannes film festival, where she had hoped to premiere her documentary when the festival opens next month.
Although the selection panel described her work as 'interesting', it was judged not to have met the famously high standards needed to secure a screening at the world-famous French film festival.
The Material Girl is reportedly still working on the film, re-editing with Swedish filmmaker Jonas Akerlund, and hopes to premiere it at the Venice Film Festival, later this year. |
