Mariah Carey has returned to the top of the charts in the US, dethroning rapper 50 Cent who has been in the number one spot for six weeks. Her new album, The Emancipation of Mimi, shot to pole position in the US album charts, the first time the singer has had a number one since Butterfly in 1997. According to Sky News, the officially single singer was spotted recently cosying up to video director Brett Ratner at the London premiere of the film The Interpreter They Ratner has directed videos for Carey in the past, and has recently separated from girlfriend Serena Williams. |
