Mariah Carey Wants a Musical on Broadway

Mariah Carey is adapting her CD Merry Christmas from 1994 into a musical for Broadway.

The 35 year-old singer recently announced the news on MTV, adding that she has written a story based on her album, as well as two new songs.

Carey said: "I'M such a festive person, and I love Christmas. I'M so over the top with it that this is a bit much, but it's perfect for me."

"I think it's going to be fun, something families can go to see."
