Eminem and information giant Apple Computer Inc. have finally settled their endorsement rights lawsuit. In February, 2004, Eminem's company Eight Mile Style filed a lawsuit in Detroit against Apple and their publicity company TBWA/Chiat/Day, claiming that Apple used his song for an advertisement without obtaining permission. Lawyers for Eight Mile Style stated, "The parties were able to reach an amicable resolution." Apple used the song Lose Yourself in an ad for iPod and the iTunes product, in commericials which were shown for three months without permission from the singer. |
