Despite being forced off the court, his team managed to win the game and Sandler's ankle is now in plaster.
He is currently filming new Disney movie 'Bedtime Stories' - in which he plays a hotel handyman whose magical bedtime stories come true - and his representative insists his injury will not affect production.
Sandler is not the first celebrity to recently injure himself.
Last December, Emma Bunton sprained her ankle during the Spice Girls' reunion tour.
