British supermodel Naomi Campbell has some unforgettable memories from last week's Cannes film festival: she was late for a charity event because her clothes and jewellery were stolen. The star was invited to participate in a Nelson Mandela charity event, but didn't have a dress to wear. According to the New York Post, Campbell's stylist disappeared with her clothes. A representative for the model stated, "Naomi's stylist disappeared with all her clothes. Naomi has only her underwear." "She sat on a boat waiting for two hours for new clothes to arrive. In the end, she borrowed a dress from a girlfriend." As it turns out, not only were Naomi's clothes missing, but much of her jewellery has gone with it. Apparently her yacht had been burgled while she was out with friends, with the robber making off with over $45,000 in belongings. The paper stated that a person posing as a member of her entourage had boarded the boat, and got away with the loot. |
