Bob Geldof Confirms Plans for Charity Concert

Bob Geldof and Midge Ure confirmed on Thursday that they are planning a major concert to coincide with the G8 summit.

The two men, who organized the Live Aid concerts of 1984, have announced that the concert they are planning is to aid Africa.

Midge Ure added that they have been recruiting the biggest names in music possible for the gig, and while many are not confirmed yet, we do know that Madonna, U2, Paul McCartney and a reunited Spice Girls will be performing.
