Shia LaBeouf says he feels shy around women and isn't a "closer" when it comes to the opposite sex. Shia LaBeouf says he isn't a "closer" when it comes to women. The 'Transformers' actor often attracts attention from the opposite sex, but struggles to capitalise on any opportunities for romance. He said: "I am enjoying myself. But I'm not great with women, dude. I'm not the guy who goes, 'OK, back to my room.' I'm not a closer." Shia also admits he feels he has "sold out" by becoming a Hollywood star. The 22-year-old star added to Details magazine: "There is this word dichotomy, of having to appear human, yet be a mysterious entity in order to continue doing your craft. There is a form of selling out. You have to become 'edible' for people in Texas." Shia has previously spoken about his battle with fame, insisting it does have its downsides. He said: "Being a celebrity is rubbish. If you're doing films just for that, you're in the wrong business. Just go on a reality TV show and wear hot pants to an awards show and you're a celebrity. "Acting is an art form. It's not just me trying to be some celebrity." |
