The Canadian capital, Ottawa, has joined the list of cities hosting Bob Geldof's Live 8 concerts to fight poverty and hunger in Africa. According to television station CTV, Ottawa will join London, Paris, Berlin, Philadelphia and Rome in the simultaneous concerts on July 2nd. The Canadian show will feature performances from Bryan Adams, The Barenaked Ladies, Jann Arden and Our Lady Peace. In addition to Canada, Japan and Russia look set to join global concert festivities. Live 8 is taking place just before the G8 summit in Scotland. |
