Mum's the word...
Former Young Talent Timer Tina Arena announced that she is expecting her first child. Arena released the statement on her website, that she and French boyfriend Vincent Mancini are expecting a little croissant before the end of the year. "Vincent and I are completely overjoyed," Tina said. "It's come at such a beautiful time in my life. We are just incredibly excited and can't wait."
Arena said the arrival of the baby wouldn't mean an end to her singing career, which has always been more successful in Europe than it has in Australia. "I don't expect this to change career plans much, certainly not for the time being anyway, but obviously having your first child is bound to change some of your priorities," she said. "I think Vincent and I will work out a balance as we go."
Arena, who lives in London with Mancini, isn't the only Aussie smitten with a beau from the land of frogs' legs. Think Kylie Minogue and Olivier Martinez, little sis Dannii's on-off romance with French lover Jeremy Garamond, and supermodel Elle Macpherson who said "oui" at the altar to French photographer Gilles Bensimon, but now has two children to Frenchie Arpad "Arki" Busson. The newest addition to the club is, of course, Nicole Kidman whose latest fling is the uber-Frenchman Gucci boss Francois-Henri Pinault. And don't think Mancini is tiny Tina's first foray into the world of beret-wearing men either. The actor and musician replaced Jeremy Mathot who was a constant companion for Arena during the late 1990s. |
