| The film Napoleon Dynamite was the big winner last night at the MTV Awards, winning several gongs, including the one for Best Film of the Year. Jon Heder of Napolean Dynamite was also recognised for Best Male Breakthrough Performance and Best Musical Performance. The event was held on Saturday night at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, and was hosted by Jimmy Fallon. Mean Girls, starring Lindsay Lohan, also won three awards for Best Female Performance for Lohan, Best Breakthrough Female Performance for Rachel Mcadams and Best Onscreen Team. It was also a big night for McAdams who took home three trophies, including Best Kiss, along with costar Ryan Gosling in The Notebook.
