I want to share that today while shopping at a local hardware store in Brattleboro, Vermont I found that I was shopping with Whoopi Goldberg. Not that we were shopping side by side, I was looking for an Air conditioner and she seemed to be looking for gardening items, with a nice young man about my age 30-40 years old. It is nice to know that she is as human as I am, and that she does her own shopping - I bet she even does her own gardening!
I have known that she was living in this area about a year now. There are many celebrities living in the foothills of Vermont, most keep to themselves and hardly any ever go shopping in the local stores.
Whoopi today proved to me what I have thought of her since first seeing her in “Telephone”. She is a down-to-earth person who does not live by the standards of other celebrities. I do not know why I did not go up to her and say hello, as she has been a standout actress for me. Her work has stimulated me and her earthy nature is a spark for me. I just wish her last sitcom were still being shown. I think after her show was cancelled I stopped watching network shows. |
