Daniel Radcliffe in December Boys

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, has joined the cast of the film December Boys.

The drama, scheduled to begin filming in Australia in November, is an adaptation of the book of the same name by Michael Noonan.

Radcliffe will play the oldest of four orphans competing for the affections of an adopting couple.  The drama, set in the 1960s, will also focus on the main character's first love affair.

Actress Teresa Palmer will also star in the film.
