Former Spice Girl Mel B, has turned down a deal for a reunion of the nineties girl group at the Live 8 show. Live 8 organiser Bob Geldof, revealed the news, adding that he is still hoping to be able to convince the group to perform at the London concert on July 2nd. Geldof also revealed that he had called Mel B last weekend, but the singer is now working in California, and does not seem to want to revisit her past. Live 8 is a charity concert in aid of famine in Africa, held on July 2nd in cities around the world, including London, Philadelphia, Paris, Rome, Berlin, Tokyo, Toronto and Johannesburg. The free concerts are being held to encourage rich countries participating in the G8 summit in Scotland, to cancel the debts of Third World countries to hlep fight hunger and poverty. |
