The movie is based on the book written by Lauren Weisberger.  The script was written by Aline Brosh McKenna.

Hathaway will play Andrea Sachs, a young woman from a small town, who lands her dream job, working for the hottest fashion magazine in New York City.  The dream turns into a nightmare when she meets her boss, played by Streep.

Hathaway recently finished filming Brokeback Mountain, directed by Ang Lee.
