Barry Manilow is reportedly hoping to make a musical film based on his song Copacabana, and he wants Jamie Foxx in the lead role. Manilow wants Foxx to play Tony Parker, the lead character in the song and the intended film, after watching his performance as Ray Charles in the film about the late singer's life, Ray, for which he won an Oscar. Manilow is sure that his film would be a success with Foxx. According to Moviehole.net, he said: "The whole concept is ready to go, but as yet Jamie is tied up with Miami Vice.
