The popular television series from the eighties, Dallas, is being adapted for the big screen, and John Travolta has been chosen to play J.R. Ewing. The film will be directed by Robert Luketic for Regency Enterprises, and written by Robert Harling (Steel Magnolias). John Travolta has now finished working on the movie Lonely Hearts with James Gandolfini, and has confirmed that he will be starring as the man with the big white hat from Dallas. The series was shown on television from 1978-91, and followed the adventures of the oil-rich Ewing family. Larry Hagman famously played J.R. Ewing, alongside Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, Victoria Principal. |
