Superstar rockers Pink Floyd have refused an offer of $150 million to embark on an American tour. According to The Sun newspaper, guitarist Dave Gilmour was recently overheard saying: "We've been offered $150 million to do gigs in the States. It's completely mad - and we won't do it." However, even without a tour, their single performance at the Live 8 concert in London's Hyde Park has had an incredible affect on CD sales for the group. Since the concert just days ago, sales of their last album Echoes, have increased by over 1,000%. |
