Lil' Kim has been sentenced to a year and a day in prison, along with a $50,000 fine. The Grammy winner was found guilty of lying to a grand jury, as she was attempting to protect her friends who were involved in a shooting at a Manhatten radio station in 2001. Although many stars of the rap community have been in trouble with the law, this is the first time that a woman has been convicted under the American justice system. The 30 year-old's real name is Kimberly Jones. Her sentence could have been as long as 20 years in prison. |
