| The big-screen adaptation of the popular series Transformers has been delayed, and the expected release date has been changed from November, 2006 to July, 2007. The screenwriters for the project, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, have been in London working on Mission: Impossible 3, and reportedly haven't been able to devote enough time to Transformers. The film, which follows the hit TV series of the same name, will be directed by Michael Bay (The Island, Armageddon), with Steven Spielberg as executive producer. Launched in 1984, the Transformers brand of toys has been successful around the globe. |
