Liam Neeson (Batman Begins) is set to provide the voice of Aslan lion, in the eagerly awaited film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. Several other big names were considered for the role, including Russell Crowe and Brian Cox, but it was Neeson's rough voice that won the part. In the film, four children enter the magical world of Narnia through the back of a wardrobe. Aslan, the lion, is the former king of the secret world who wants to free the people from the evil White Witch. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe will be released in December. |
