Victor Rasuk is 21 years old. With his dominican background, young ladies are flocking to this spicy man, although he's currently single after a 2 year on-and-off relationship with Melonie Diaz.
He was born on january 15th 1984 in Harlem, New York and went to a preforming arts school as a teenager, where he would meet many of his movie costars, including Sylvestre and Marte from Raising Victor Vargas. He started acting at 14, and got his first movie role at 16 in a film called Five Feet High and Rising, which was a hit at the Independant Spirit Film Festival, even though it was less than a half hour long. Two years later, the same director asked him to come back for a second movie, called Raising Victor Vargas, which went on to win Rasuk an Independant Spirit award for his work. br>His next film was called Rock Steady, in which he played a character named Roc. Two years later, and he took a leading role in Haven with Orlando Bloom, and another in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind with Jim Carey.
In 2005, Lords of Dogtown was released, and was a major hit, and a great learning experience for Victor, playing the leading role as Tony Alva, including skateboarding and surfing, and all about the 70s. He was sceptical of the real Tony Alva at first, wondering the role was too big for him. As soon as he met him, he realised that he was essentially a nice guy, with rough edges and sharp points which gave him the ego and additude that Victor portrayed so well on screen. A method actor, the character took over his life, until he found himself almost as cocky himself, thinking he could master a huge skate ramp in just his second week of training. He didn't do as well as he thought he would, and ended up fractering his orbital bone.
Rasuk is a promising young acotr, with several projects lined up for the future, thanks to his confidence on camera as a new actor. His laid back prefromances belie a lot of hard work, determination, dedication and thnkfully second takes.
More than eye candy, he has the positive additude and rising potential to be anything he chooses. This is an actor who will go far. |
