Tom Hanks is set to play the role of a Texas congressman in Charlie Wilson's War. The actor will coproduce the film for Universal, and work will begin as soon as filming for The Da Vinci Code has wrapped, even though the director has not yet been decided. In the movie, Hanks plays a congressman nicknamed 'Good Time Charlie'. The story begins in the 80s, when the fun-loving politician almost ruins his career after being caught with two showgirls in Las Vegas. However, he survives the scandal and ends up overseeing the CIA's most successful operation ever. |
