Courtney Love was rushed to a hospital emergency room after a Hollywood party last week. The star was taken by ambulance to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, but has since been released and is recovering at home. Love was at a party at the Roosevelt Hotel on Thursday night, when she was taken ill. The star talked about the incident to the New York Daily News, "I don't quite know what happened. It was very hot I had two Diet Cokes I started feeling really woozy I decided to go to the private cabana that they'd given me to use I must have fainted." "A friend called an ambulance, and I woke up in hospital on a breathing machine. They didn't keep me there long." Although the authorities confirm that they responded to a call for a drug overdose, Love denied that it was caused by drugs. The singer - who had a negative drug test just last week - adamantly insisted, "I didn't work for a year on sobriety to blow it You have my word on that." |
