American actor Mark Wahlberg revealed that he'd like to retire from Hollywood when he reaches the age of 40. The 34 year-old actor, who starred in Planet of the Apes, The Italian Job, and The Perfect Storm, has decided that in his forties he wants to concentrate on his family. He and wife Rhea Durham have a two year-old daughter, Ella Rae. According to the actor, he wants to work hard for the next few years to accumulate a nest egg for his family, in particular, his daughter. He says, "She's a much bigger responsibility than anything I have going. That's why now it's so important that my movies make money." "I want to work hard for the next six years, then put all the emphasis on family.", he added. "I don't want much. I just want to wake up when I feel like it, go to my little girl's soccer games, and make sure she has whatever she wants." Wahlberg's next film is entitled Four Brothers, which opens on August 12 in America. |
