Russell Crowe has finally reached a court settlement with the New York hotel clerk he was charged with assaulting earlier this year (05).
The Hollywood heart throb allegedly hit Nestor Estrada in the face with a telephone in June, during a late-night altercation. He was charged with assault, before being arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court and ordered to return on 14 September (05).
The Oscar-winning actor has since publicly apologised to Estrada and his family for the incident, which is apparently due to the star not being able to get a line to his wife Danielle, who was in Australia, during his stay in the Mercer Hotel.
The actor has reportedly agreed to pay Estrada the equivalent of £55 500. |
