Geoffrey Rush, Clive Owen and Cate Blanchett are set to work together in the film The Golden Age, sequal to 1998's Elizabeth.
They will team up with director Shekhar Kapur, who worked on Elizabeth, and sources say that Blanchett will be continuing in the role of Elizabeth I.
The first film showed the sixteenth-century transformation of a young woman into the Queen of England, The Golden Age will see Rush taking the role of Sir Francis Walsingham once again, and Owen as Walter Raleigh. It is set for release in April 2006. |
