Hollywood actresses Gwyneth Paltrow and Meryl Streep are set to reunite to work on a film about the Watergate scandal. According to Variety, the two stars have joined the cast along with Annette Bening, in a film being directed by Ryan Murphy. Streep will play the role of Martha Mitchell, the wife of attorney John Mitchell, who is the man who revealed the story to journalists. Paltrow will play Maureen Dean, the wife of White House employee John Dean. The Watergate scandal is one of the biggest political scandals in American history, which resulted in the end of Richard Nixon's career in 1979. |
