Angelina Jolie Becomes Cambodian

Angelina Jolie has officially become a Cambodian citizen, named by the King Norodom Sihamoni.

The 30 year old Hollywood star, who owns a residence in the province Battambang, adopted a Cambodian orphan, Maddox, a few years ago.

The Prime Minister of Cambodia, Hun Sen, had proposed citizenship to the actress last year, and Jolie was honoured to accept.

For the government, it is a way of thanking Jolie, who gave $5 million to build a park near her home.
