Chart-topping Carey was married for 5 years to the head of Sony records, Tommy Mottola. In 1998, the couple divorced, and Mariah Carey was elated. "I longed for someone to come kidnap me back then. I used to fantasize about that a lot. I'd have my pocketbook with me at all times in case I had to make an escape."
