John Rutter, the photographer who tried to use nude pictures of Cameron Diaz to extort $3.5 million from the star, has been sentenced to three years in prison.
The 42 year-old was sent down at the Los Angeles Superior Court, after taking photos of the Hollywood beauty back in 1992, when she was just 19, then threatening to sell them to the press in a bid to extort money from her once her profile had risen.
Rutter has always maintained that the star signed a release form, which she denies. Her signature was later found to have been forged.
The Superior Court judge sentenced Rutter to three years and eight months in prison. |
