Troubled beauty Kate Moss was last night dramatically sacked by two of her most cherished clients Chanel and Burberry, following allegations about her lifestyle which appeared in last week's newspapers. br>Following H&M's about-turn, which saw the model lose estimated earnings of $1.8 million, the two designer brands have decided to cut their links with the supermodel, after a tabloid exposé on her reported cocaine use surfaced at the end of last week. Burberry announced on Wednesday that it was axing a project with Moss which was pencilled-in for the autumn, saying: "both Kate and Burberry have mutually agreed that it is inappropriate to go ahead."
Moss's most prestigious client, French fashion house Chanel confirmed that it had no intention of renewing the model's contract, after it finished at the end of October. Rimmel and Dior are still working with her, but speculation is rife as to how long the situation will last for as the star is facing a police investigation into her drug use. Westminster social services are also said to be investigating whether her daughter, two year-old Lila, is at risk. |
