John Travolta Lends a Hand

Actor John Travolta, a licensed pilot, has given his private jet to be used to transport food and other essentials to the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

The star and his wife, actress Kelly Preston, will also be transporting more than 400 doses of vaccines.

Other personalities have also joined the relief team, including Oprah Winfrey and Sean Penn.  Author John Grisham, who lives nearby in Mississippi, has also donated $5 million.
