A musician from Toronto, Canada, J.D. Fortune, has been chosen as the new lead singer for the Australian group INXS. The band members chose Fortune after 13 weeks of competition on their televised series called Rock Star: INXS on CBS. The first song from Fortune with INXS, "Easy, Easy" is being released today, and the first album, entitled Switch, is scheduled to be released on November 29th. It will be the first CD since the suicide of their lead singer, Michael Hutchence, in 1997. "We're a band now," said Fortune after hearing that he was chosen. |
