Paris Confirms Engagement is Over

Paris Hilton has finally confirmed press reports that her engagement to Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis is over after just five months.

According to Us Weekly, the star sent a statement explaining that the pair would remain friends, and that she hopes the press will respect her privacy during the weeks to come.

The couple became engaged earlier this year, following a whirlwind romance. Latsis reportedly gave Hilton a 24 carat diamond engagement ring, worth $5 million (£2.8 million).
