The governor of California and former film star, Arnold Schwarzenegger, hopes to protect stars from photographers who cross the line in future. Schwarzenegger has signed new regulations that allow for the punishment of convicted paparazzi members to be tripled if there was a chase involved. In the past few years, several accidents have been caused by photographers chasing Hollywood stars, including most recently, actress Lindsay Lohan, who was struck by a photographer's car as he tried to get a picture. The new law takes affect on January 1, 2006. |
