The life of Wyclef Jean, lead singer for The Fugees, is set to be made into a movie for the American cable channel HBO. The singer has made a deal with the network to co-produce the series, and also compose original music for it. It will focus on Creole traditions and Haitian folklore, which have had a great influence in the world of music and Jean's work. Wyclef Jean and his family left Haiti for New York when the star was just 9 years old. As a teenager, he learned to play the guitar, and later founded The Fugees with Lauryn Hill and Pras Michel. |
