Jennifer Connelly to Star with Leonardo DiCaprio

Jennifer Connelly looks set to star with Leonardo DiCaprio in the thriller The Blood Diamond.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the film is set in Sierra Leone in 1999, during a civil war which is ravaging the country.

DiCaprio will play a diamond smuggler, but no information has been released regarding Connelly's role.

Edward Zwick (The Last Samurai, The Siege, Once and Again) will direct the film, which is scheduled to begin shooting next year in Africa.
