Sony Pictures Entertainment will be announcing the identity of the actor who will play the next James Bond, at a press conference in London today, for upcoming film Casino Royale directed by Martin Campbell. This will be the 21st Bond movie, in a franchise which has already made more than $4 billion at the box-office since the release of the first film, Dr. No in 1962. The new actor, thought to be Daniel Craig, will take over from Pierce Brosnan, who played Agent 007 for the first time in 1995 in GoldenEye. Four other actors have played Bond including, Sean Connery, Roger Moore, George Lazenby and Timothy Dalton. Production of Casino Royale will be start in January, with an expected release date of October 10th, 2006. |
