Madonna has talked about her parenting skills in an interview with british magazine Harpers and Queen, calling herself a 'disciplinarian' when it comes to her two children, nine year-old Lola and four year-old Rocco.
Although she is married to film director Guy Ritchie, television in their home is rationed, with the children watching films on a Sunday... but only if they have been good and done all their chores. If daughter Lola leaves clothes on the floor, she will come home to find that her mother has confiscated them, and will have to tidy up to get them back.
As for mealtimes, it's wholefood all the way, with no dairy and no junk food allowed in the family diet. Lean meat and fish feature heavily round the Ritchie table.
The star, in her late forties, admitted that she has little time for socialising, with a tight schedule of work, exercise and parenting which requires her to get up at 7:30am, like mothers across Britain, to get the children up for school. |
