Mel Gibson Donates Funds to Mexico

Australian actor Mel Gibson has given a million dollars to the Mexican government.

The star made the generous donation after Hurricane Stan devastated the gulf state of Veracruz earlier this month. Gibson, who is starting work on his next movie, Apocalypto, met with Mexican President Vincente Fox.

Hurricane Stan hit Mexico and Central America on October 1st.  More than 2,000 people lost their lives in Guatemala, El Salvador, Mexico and Nicaragua.
