Robbie Williams has spoken about his famous Live 8 performance earlier this summer, saying that the sight of England football captain David Beckham on stage helped him overcome his nerves.
The star, who is celebrating a ten-year solo career, was so apprehensive about his first major performance in the UK since 2003, that he spent most of the day in his trailer. Once on stage however, he saw that David Beckham, who as introducing him, looked even more nervous, which gave him the strength to perform.
Williams' hit Angels has also been given the green light to be played in churches, at civil weddings, along with Aretha Franklin's Say a Little Prayer. |
