Pamela Anderson has made a special request to the German car maker Mercedes. Anderson, an animal rights activist, wants to be able to purchase a car made without animal skin. "Animals used for their skin suffer from confinement, fear, painful mutilations, deprivation of all that is natural and important to them, and cruel treatment during transport and slaughter," she wrote to executives at Daimler-Chrysler. "I want no part of that, but I would like a Mercedes, may I ask that you please make all Benz models available without animal skin?" Mercedes-Benz responded to the actress that in the future, each model of car they offer will be available without animal skin. |
