Britain's cheekiest star, Robbie Williams, has won a court case against a magazine which alleged he was homosexual.
The star has accepted substantial damages from The People newspaper, and Stars and Hotstars magazines, after successfullly sueing them for libel. The publications all ran articles in 2004 hinting that he was gay, then claimed in court that he was deceiving the public by maintaining that he only had relationships with women in his upcoming biograohy Feel.
His lawyer said: "Mr Williams is not, and has never been, homosexual." His client was not pressent for the verdict. |
