Singer George Michael has come back into the spotlight, with a documentary film about his career.
The star, well-known for being shy, attended the premiere of A Different Story with long-term partner Kenny Goss. The film charts the ups and downs of his life, from huge global success with Wham! in the eighties, to tragedy following the deaths of both his partner from AIDS, and his mother, in the nineties.
The 42 year-old admitted that fans don't have the full picture as he does so little promotion, but it was only when members of his family, and ex-Wham! bandmate Andew Ridgley agreed to talk on camera about him that he went ahead with the film, which is set to spill the beans on his childhood, career and private life, an experience that he found "cathartic".
Michael added that he thought the film would push him to be more productive over the coming years, but when asked whether he would be appearing on stage soon, he answered with a coy: "I'M hoping next year is going to include pleasing my fans a little." |
