Just days after revealing that his partner is expecting their first child, Hollywood star Matt Damon has married his fiancé, Luciana Barroso.
According to the BBC, the couple wed in New York, and the news has been confirmed by his publicist in Los Angeles. No further details have been released, although it is thought that the ceremony took place at the end of last week, in a New York registry office.
The pair have been together for two years, and engaged since Damon, 35, popped the question in September. The marriage makes him stepfather to Barroso’s eldest daughter, Alexa, from a previous relationship.
Damon shot to fame in 1997 in Good Will Hunting, which he wrote with pal Ben Affleck, earning them an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay. He is currently filming The Good Shepherd in New York. |
