Actor Thomas Haden Church (Sideways) has joined the cast of Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House. The Revolutions Studios film is being directed by Steve Carr (Daddy Day Care, Rebound) and also stars Ice Cube. Written by Hank Nelkin (Saving Silverman), the film is a remake of the 1948 classic, which starred Cary Grant and Myrna Loy, telling the story of a couple who decides to move from their Manhattan apartment into a big house. Ice Cube will play Mr. Blandings, and Thomas Haden Church will play a contractor in charge of the renovations on the house for Blanding. Filming is set to begin in New York in May. |
